PRAYER & WORSHIP: An Ecumenical View

Wailing Wall Prayers

Temple Mount – Wailing Wall Prayers

I believe in the power of prayer. Prayer works.

Christians, Muslims, Catholics, Jews, Buddhists, Hindus, others from various forms of organized religions, all pray. This common thread weaves through our cultures binding our belief in a Higher Power that somehow solidifies peace to each in a unique way. Prayer allows for communication with that Higher Power and on this special J-Term trip, we will have the unique opportunity to pray and worship in four distinct places. I will be writing about each of them as we experience a Lutheran church, a Jewish synagogue, a Quaker Friends Meeting and a Muslim Mosque.
